Poster: Wind and Sail

There are English proverbs that express the same idea as the French proverb that inspired the poster:

  • As the wind blows, you must set your sails.
  • Trim the sails to the wind.
  • Meet the wind as it blows.
  • See how the wind blows.
  • See which way the wind blows.

As the wind, so the sail.
(French: Selon le vent, la voile.)

The source for the French proverb is A Polyglot of Foreign Proverbs by Henry G. Bohn (GoogleBooks). The poster is made with AutoMotivator. The image is by Rob Bole (Flickr).
