Yes, I am REVIVING this long unused proverb blog in order to try out Quizlet: they make it possible to embed flashcards and even games in a blog post!
I've pasted in below the set of proverbs that the program is drawing on. The proverbs are in Polish only, but you can find the translations in the book I used as the source which is available at the Internet Archive: Dictionary of 1000 Polish Proverbs.
Each proverb is divided into two parts (like a flashcard, which is what Quizlet thinks these are)... my experience is that looking at a proverb divided into two parts helps make the meaning more clear and also helps make it easier to remember.
This is just my first experiment using Quizlet flashcards for proverbs, and I'm excited to see what more I can do with this. Being able to embed the material here in the blog is really cool!
