Latin LOLCat: Companions

Here is today's Latin LOLCat. The word for man here, vir can be seen in the English word "virile," and it is also the root of the word "virtue" (for the Romans, virtue was a manly sort of thing). If you are interested in Latin proverbs and fables, check out the Bestiaria Latina blog.

Ex socio cognoscitur vir.

You know a man by his companion.
